At a glance.

China Medical University offers six-year English-taught Clinical Medicine and five-year English-taught Dentistry in Shenyang. Medical study covers biomedical sciences, diagnostics and clinical disciplines, with teaching in affiliated hospitals. Dentistry follows its own oral-science and clinical curriculum. Students must reach HSK Level 4 before internship.

• Single-room options: RMB9,500, RMB10,500 or RMB12,000 per year. Each room has one occupant.
• Medical examination: RMB700 per examination. Accommodation deposit: RMB1,000 once.

Scholarship options.

• Funding for English degrees

  English MBBS and BDS follow the self-funded fee plan. Chinese Government undergraduate funding covers Chinese-taught study; the Silk Road clinical-medicine and dentistry awards also require Chinese-taught study.

Entry requirements.

• Citizenship, age and schooling

  Non-Chinese ordinary-passport holders aged 18–25, with high-school graduation, above-average Physics, Chemistry and Biology results, good health, no criminal or disciplinary record and stable financial support.

• English

  IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL above 85. Native or official-English applicants may be exempt. TOEFL 70 or Duolingo 105 requires programme-specific assessment through FirstLiners.

• CSCA and interview

  English routes require Mathematics and Chemistry and an online interview. HSK Level 4 is required before internship, rather than at application for English MBBS.

• Nationality history

  Relevant former Chinese nationals or applicants with Chinese parentage need at least four years of foreign nationality/passport history and more than two years abroad in the preceding four-year period. Conditional guardian requirements do not establish an automatic age waiver.

• IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL above 85 meets the standard English route. TOEFL 70 or Duolingo 105 requires programme-specific assessment.
• HSK Level 4 is required before internship.
• Bring the required original qualifications, identity and medical records for arrival checks.

• Passport

  Photo page, latest entry/exit visa page and two blank visa pages.

• High-school diploma and transcripts

  Original or certified Chinese/English records. Final-year applicants may first supply expected-graduation proof; provide the final diploma on admission. Indian applicants also supply final school-year results. FirstLiners coordinates the accepted certification and translation route.

• CSCA report

  Mathematics and Chemistry. Meet the result-submission deadline for your intake.

• Financial guarantee and bank certificate

  Applicant/guarantor financial support and bank certificate. These demonstrate available funds for study and are separate from payable fees.

• English evidence

  IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL above 85; qualifying native/official-English exemption evidence may be accepted. TOEFL 70 or Duolingo 105 requires programme-specific assessment through FirstLiners.

• Guardian papers if under 18

  Parents living outside China appoint a China-resident adult guardian. This conditional requirement does not waive the 18–25 age rule.

• Additional records if already in China

  Residence permit; transfer/no-objection/graduation certificate; previous-school transcript; temporary-residence registration; medical form.

• Former Chinese citizens

  Renunciation, hukou cancellation, naturalization and travel records from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2026.

• Foreign-born applicants with Chinese parentage

  Birth certificate, parental nationality evidence and applicant travel records from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2026.

• Medical report

  Required; entry health verification also applies.

• Police clearance

  No-criminal-record certificate.

Application and arrival

  Use formal admission and JW202 documents for the study visa. Register within the Admission Notice period; FirstLiners arranges advance university permission if registration is delayed. Identity, academic eligibility and local health records are rechecked after arrival.
