Ningxia Medical University began as Ningxia Medical College in 1958 and adopted its present name in 2008. Its Yanhu and Shuangyi campuses are in Yinchuan. The six-year English-taught MBBS comprises five years of theoretical study and a hospital internship in year 6, with practical teaching in basic medicine, clinical skills, surgery and pharmacy.

Continuing English-taught Clinical Medicine students can earn RMB 15,000 for the year through academic and overall-performance assessment. Selection covers 5% of enrolled undergraduates. This is a fresh merit selection each year.
Strong academic performance, good conduct, timely registration and no disciplinary breach are required. Concurrent Chinese Government or other national-level scholarships are excluded. Fees remain payable before an award. Apply through FirstLiners.

High-school diploma, K 12 (10+2) or accepted equivalent; English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology must pass the home-country graduation examination.

Physical and mental fitness, good character, no criminal record.
