Soochow University’s Suzhou Medical College includes basic medicine, radiation medicine, public health, pharmacy, nursing and life sciences. English-taught programmes include six-year Clinical Medicine and four-year Pharmaceutical Science. The pharmacy programme includes a 32-week internship, a research thesis and other academic work in year 4. English-taught undergraduates must reach HSK Level 4 before graduation.

The four-year English route develops chemistry, biochemistry, anatomical physiology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutics and pharmacy administration. Year four includes a 32-week graduation internship, research thesis, English scientific-article translation and literature review. Successful completion of the teaching plan, credits and degree requirements leads to the Bachelor of Science.

Third class is RMB 4,000 for medicine or RMB 3,000 for other programmes. Academic and CSCA results carry 90% of selection; other achievements carry 10%.
Academic Excellence awards are RMB 3,000, 2,000 or 1,000, with maximum class shares of 5%, 10% or 15%. Outstanding Student Cadre is RMB 2,000 for at most one eligible student per class. Good results, conduct and at least eighteen volunteer hours each year are required. Selection is repeated annually; first-year awards do not guarantee later support.
Scholarships depend on eligibility, selection and any required review. Plan for the full fees until an award is granted; fee subtotals do not include scholarship deductions.
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens under 30, holding a valid ordinary passport and a high-school qualification or equivalent, in sound health. Under-18 applicants need the specified guardianship certificate.
TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.0 or above, native-English evidence, or another accepted equivalent, valid on and after 15 June 2026. English-medium schooling exemptions require individual acceptance.
English-medium medicine requires CSCA Mathematics plus Physics or Chemistry.
English-taught undergraduates must reach HSK Level 4 or higher before graduation.

Provide school-issued, officially sealed transcripts in Chinese or English, with the required notarised translation if originally issued in another language.

Write more than 600 words in English, or more than 600 Chinese characters, explaining your intended study.
Provide FirstLiners with a complete examination form no more than six months old, with every test, physician’s signature, hospital stamp and sealed photograph.
Provide a valid non-criminal-record certificate, normally issued within six months before applying.
Provide a financial-guarantee letter, the guarantor’s deposit certificate showing at least USD 5,000, and the guarantor’s income certificate. This is proof of funds, not an extra fee.
Include relevant awards, publications, conference participation, volunteering or other achievements where applicable.
Applicants under 18 provide a guardianship certificate for their responsible guardian.
