A one-time RMB 4,000 award for selected self-funded undergraduate newcomers, paid after first-semester registration. The undergraduate allocation is up to 80 places across the university; annual allocations and award levels may change.
Academic and language requirements
High-school grades must be B or higher. English-taught medical applicants need HSK 4 plus TOEFL 85, TOEFL Essentials B2 or IELTS 6.5; an accepted English-language exemption may replace the English certificate. Selection includes document review and academic assessment. Another scholarship excludes this award.

Entry requirements.
Nationality, age and education
Non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health, meeting Ministry nationality rules; generally ages 18–30 on 1 September 2026. Under-18 applicants need a China-based guardian guarantee. Provide high-school graduation or impending-graduation evidence and transcripts.
English
TOEFL 80 or above, TOEFL Essentials 8 or above, or IELTS 6.0 or above. Native English or previous English-medium education may support exemption after university approval.
CSCA and selection
English-taught medical programmes require Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. Professional Chinese may be exempted. Documentary review precedes interview and entrance examination; university-recognised outstanding applicants may be exempt from interview.
Nationality history
Relevant Chinese-parentage/former-nationality applicants need at least four years of foreign nationality by 30 April 2026 and more than two years abroad in the period. Overseas-born cases also provide birth and parents’ nationality certificates.
Bring an ordinary passport. Diplomatic and service passports are not accepted for registration.
Bring your Admission Notice, JW201/JW202, student visa and the required original academic and medical records.
