Yangzhou University’s six-year English-taught Clinical Medicine programme covers basic medicine, clinical medicine and preventive medicine. Scientific foundations lead to clinical subjects and final-year practice in semesters 11 and 12. Chinese study progresses from basic and applied Chinese to Medical Chinese. Students must meet the Chinese-language graduation requirement.
The six-year English programme covers basic, clinical and preventive medicine. Mathematics, physics, chemistry, anatomy and cell biology lead to physiology, pathology, pharmacology, diagnostics and clinical specialties.
Semesters eleven and twelve each contain 26 clinical-practice credits and 832 hours: 52 credits and 1,664 hours in total.
Chinese progresses from basic and applied language to Medical Chinese. English-taught students must reach Level 4 of the Chinese proficiency standard before graduation.

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens aged 18–25 as of 15 May 2026, in good physical and mental health.
A high-school qualification or higher, with excellent grades, is required. Former Chinese citizens are reviewed under the Ministry of Education nationality rules.
Applicants whose mother tongue or official language is not English provide TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo results.
An official CSCA Mathematics report is required for English Clinical Medicine. The Mathematics paper may be taken in Chinese or English.

Complete the form in Chinese or English. Give your full address and continuous education and employment history from high school onward, without unexplained gaps.
Diploma with the school’s official seal. Final-year students may initially provide a pre-graduation certificate, then send FirstLiners the final diploma and bring its original to registration.
Provide high-school transcripts carrying the school’s official seal. Academic records issued outside Chinese or English require notarised Chinese or English translations.
Provide FirstLiners with the official CSCA Mathematics report required for English Clinical Medicine; the Mathematics paper may be taken in Chinese or English. Combine multiple reports into one PDF when instructed.
Provide the information page of a passport with at least twelve months of validity.
Provide sponsor identification and employment/income evidence, plus a formal-bank English deposit certificate showing at least RMB 30,000 in the applicant’s or sponsor’s name. Chinese Government and International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship applicants are exempt from the bank-certificate requirement, not automatically from the whole funding file.
Use the English Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Complete every item and include the photograph, official stamp, physician’s signature and sealed photograph edge.
TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo results if your mother tongue or official language is not English.
Provide FirstLiners with the criminal-record check.
If you have previously been in China, submit all Chinese visas, stay permits and residence permits. This is conditional on your travel/residence history.
Academic documents outside Chinese or English need notarised Chinese or English translations. Provide the documents to FirstLiners for the university application and bring the original final diploma to registration; it is compulsory.
Send FirstLiners your supporting documents. Complete the application payment within fifteen working days and send the receipt bearing your application number.

Use electronic admission and JW201/JW202 documents for the study visa. Fresh graduates must submit the final diploma and bring its original to registration. Evidence is rechecked during the first three months; false documents may lead to refusal of enrolment.
